Frequently asked questions
Answers to the most common questions about Limen: privacy and encryption, how the AI works, pricing, languages, and how to start journaling in under a minute.
General
Limen is an AI daily companion: a smart journal you write or speak to each day. Over time it detects your emotional and behavioural patterns, shows them in a dashboard with a theme map, and gives you honest advice grounded only in what you've told it. It's not a habit tracker.
Limen has no free plan: you start with a 30-day free trial and no card, with full access. After that, the plan is 10,99 € per month or 89 € per year, which works out cheaper. There's no lock-in: cancel whenever you like.
Limen is available on iPhone and Android, and it syncs so your entries are on any of your devices. You can also access it from the web. It's available in Spanish and English.
Using the app
Each day Limen offers you a prompt or a blank space. You answer by writing or recording a voice note, as much or as little as you like. In under a minute it's saved and becomes part of your thread.
It's how Limen reads your entries over time and recognises what repeats: themes, moods and triggers. It connects them in a theme map so you can see, for example, which situations tend to come before a bad day. It's all based only on your own data.
Limen's AI reads what you write and gives you honest, concrete advice, always anchored in your own words. No empty motivational lines or forced positivity: if something keeps repeating or isn't serving you, it tells you tactfully but clearly.
Yes. You choose what time you want the nudge, in what tone and how often. And if one day you'd rather get nothing, you mute it with no consequences: there are no streaks to break here.
Account & privacy
Yes, you need an account so your entries are stored securely and synced across your devices. You create it with your email in under a minute, and we don't ask for more data than necessary.
What you write in Limen is special-category data under GDPR, and we treat it accordingly. Your entries are encrypted and, although we hold the technical key (the AI needs it to reply to you), no one on our team ever reads your journal: it's a binding company policy. We never sell your data or use it for advertising.
Anytime. You can export your whole journal or permanently delete your account and entries from settings. If you delete it, it's truly gone. It's yours, from start to finish.
Troubleshooting
First, check that Limen has permission to send you notifications in your phone settings and that the reminder time is switched on inside the app. If it still doesn't work, close and reopen Limen and make sure you're on the latest version. If none of that fixes it, write to support@limen.day and we'll look into it with you.
The dashboard updates as you write, so some patterns take a few days to appear. If you see data that doesn't add up, try refreshing the view or closing and reopening the app. If you think it's a genuine bug, send us a screenshot at support@limen.day and we'll check it quickly.
